DODGERS TAKE 2 OF 3 FROM SNAKES

The Dodgers finished the homestand by taking 2 of 3 from the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Though the Dodgers would go 4-5 in the homestand, the Dodgers were in every game, the biggist deficit a 4-1 setback to the Greg Maddux and Cubs .  The pitching was outstanding throughout the homestand, and the offense, while cooled off, showed signs of coming back to life over the weekend.  JD Drew continues his hot month of April, and so to doesBill Mueller, who drove in two big runs in the 1st inning with a two out double, and made an outstanding play in the 7th , robbing Orlando Hudson of extra bases and turning two in the process with a great diving stop of Hudson's screamer.  After struggling with his control int the first 2 frames, Bret Thomko would settle down and retire 13 of his last 15 batters faced.  The Dodgers start a 6 game road trip on Monday night with 3 in Houston, capped of with 3 against the NL West Champs, the San Diego Padres.
